Vent d'Ouest Klezmer Band : a famous label with four guys who perform than forty concerts a year.

A real energetic show full of original jazzy sounds owing to its skilly and professional musicians.

Through its mutiple influences ,from classical to gipsy jazz ,metal and french "musette jazz", it combines its own fusion with a real klezmer pannel.

TO BE ABSOLUTELY DISCOVERED IN LIVE !!!

Depuis 2002, le groupe alençonnais VENT D’OUEST promène son talent et sa bonne humeur de scène en scène, et franchit le pas d’un premier album tout à son image, convivial, sans chi chi et totalement voué au seul plaisir de partager la musique qu’il affectionne.

De ses débuts jazz manouche, VENT D’OUEST compose aujourd’hui avec la venue de deux nouveaux membres et se nourrit donc de nouvelles influences.

Musiques d’Europe centrale et orientale, jazz, klezmer ou tziganes, le répertoire se fait tour à tour caressant et fiévreux, intimiste et enflammé, offrant au public toute la richesse d’un panel coloré et joyeux où ne compte que l’immense bonheur procuré.

Vent d'ouest c'est aussi 40 concerts sur l'année 2009, mais ils en demandent encore !

Since its founding in Normandy in 2002, Vent D’ouest Klezmer Band has shared its love of music and music-making with numerous audiences

Their talent and positive energy pervade both live performances and recordings with characteristic originality, simplicity, and joy

Evolving over the years from a gypsy jazz band, today’s quartet has a klezmer focus largely thanks to its two newest members, but various genres inform their repertoire, with influences from Central and Eastern Europe, jazz, and, of course, klezmer.

Their music is alternately soft, feverish, inflamed or intimate, bringing a rich, diverse palette of sounds and inspiring, first and foremost, immense happiness.
