Entre riffs tranchants et mélodies ravageuses, le style de Stuck in Town évolue dans la plus pure tradition anglaise, alliant rock flamboyant et pop sixties non sans omettre de composer avec l'urgence et une certaine frustration inhérente à la vie urbaine moderne. Basé sur Besançon, le groupe enregistre son 1er EP en 2007 et enchaîne les concerts. L'année 2008 a été très riche en événements, avec de nombreuses dates dans l'Est de la France (Lyon, Grenoble, Besançon, Lons le saunier, Belfort, Moulin de brainans...) au cours desquelles le groupe partage l'affiche avec des formations comme Music is not fun, Toxic Kiss, Johnny boy. Stuck in Town a notamment été sélectionné sur la compilation "le jura révèle ses artistes" (sortie début 2009). Arrivés en cette fin d'année 2008, il était grand temps de marquer le coup : le groupe s'enferme en studio et enregistre « Promises and Whispers for lonely souls », second EP qui enfonce le clou et prouve définitivement la capacité du groupe à trousser des mélodies qui vous colle aux baskets et vous accompagne pour le reste de la journée. And now ? ....... « The future is unwritten » Joe Strummer. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Between sharp riffs and Amazing Melodies, Stuck in Town's style evolves into the purest British tradition, a blend of terrific Rock and sixties pop without forgetting to compose with urgency and with a certain feeling of frustation about urban life. Based in Besancon, east of France, the band recorded their first EP in 2007 and gigs followed. The year 2008 was rich, with a lot of gigs around East France (Lyon, Grenoble, Besancon) when they were sharing the stage with other bands like "Music is not fun", "Toxic kiss" and "Johnny boy". At the end of 2008, it was high time to mark the occasion : the band started to work hard and record "Promises and whispers for lonely souls". Daisy Lambert assume un vrai parti pris sonore, en réconciliant une chanson française aux références sûres (Christophe, Gainsbourg, Chamfort, Katerine, Tellier, Daho) et une french touch early 80's, à la fois kitch et élégante.
