    L'aventure des Stan a commencé en 1992 dans une cave de Val-De-Reuil, ville nouvelle de la grande banlieue rouennaise. L'envol du groupe se concrétisa réellement en 1994 après une tournée d'une vingtaine de dates dans les Alpes et la sortie, en septembre 1995 d'un premier CD 5 titres intitulé " Ces Temps de Réfléxion". Suivirent quelque 200 concerts, à travers nos belles régions balladuriennes et pasquaïeuses (à l'époque !) puis, en 1998, la sortie d'un nouveau CD 3 titres, "Mon petit nuage noir". Les premières parties de Daran, Zebda, Wampas et autres Garçons Bouchers et la participation à de nombreux festivals (Rock dans tous ses Etats d'Evreux, Garden Parties de Rennes, Les Nuits du Rock de La Roche sur Foron, Bars en Zique de Caen etc... finirent d'instituer la réputation du groupe sur les scènes de Haute Normandie et d'ailleurs... L'album " Rebelle Aventure", sorti en 2001, vite écoulé, fut réédité en 2002 avec une piste CDRom et "labellisé" par TELERAMA, grâce à la critique élogieuse qu' Anne Marie Paquotte consacra au groupe. (fff). De nombreux articles dans Rocksound, Rock & Folk, Recording Musicien, Presto, Compact...vantèrent les qualités principales de l'album : Des textes "nettement au dessus du lot" sur des musiques accrocheuses et "remarquablement" enregistrées pour une autoproduction. 2006 : Après l'arrivée d'un nouveau guitariste et d'un nouveau batteur, les Stan reviennent sur les scènes pour livrer leur nouveau répertoire. S'éloignant légèrement de la recette chanson alternative qui fit leur succès, les Stan, gorgés de rock et de souvenirs 80's creusent un peu plus le sillon de leur belle aventure musicale.... .... Stan the Flasher's musical story began in 1992 in a cellar in Val de Reuil, in the large suburb of Rouen. The real start came in 1994 after a 20 dates tour, which took the band in the Alps, and then the release of a 5 tracks EP, "Ces Temps de Réflexion", in september 1995. More live dates followed, leading Stan the Flasher to perform some 200 concerts in the whole French territory. 1998 saw the release of another EP, "Mon Petit Nuage Noir" (containing new 3 songs) and gave STF the opportunity to open shows for Daran, Zebda, Les Wampas and Les Garçons Bouchers and play for many rock festivals including Rock dans tous ses Etats (Evreux), Garden Parties (Rennes), Les Nuits du Rock (La Roche sur Foron), Bars en zique (Caen) establishing the band as a solid live act. In 2001, Stan the Flasher released their first proper album, "Rebelle aventure", which was quickly deleted but re-released in 1992 with a bonus enhanced CD rom track. Praised by Télérama which gave them a most valuable FFF thanks to Anne Marie Paquotte's very positive review, the album gained many other encouraging comments from rock mags such as Rocksound, Rock & Folk, Recording Musicien, Presto or Compact, all of them pointing highly-above-the-average lyrics, catchy tunes and a remarkable recording (given the fact that "Rebelle Aventure" was a primarly an independant recording & release). 2006 introduced a new guitar player as well as new drummer, and Stan the Flasher re-emerged on local stages with brand new songs giving the "alternative french song flavour" of their older songs up for a bit in order to concentrate on a more rock/pop sound filled with major 80's influences. 15 years later, the story's still very much alive. .. .. .. ............ ....Myspace Layouts.. / ..Gray and Simple.. / ..Hot Comments.. / ..Image Hosting.. ..
