SITARSONIC is a project mixing Electronica & Sitar. It is led by Paco Rodriguez who started playing this Indian instrument in 1994 in Benares(India).
He learned from the late Dr Raj Bhan Singh and his son Padmabhan Singh.
SITARSONIC LIVE: Paco performs alone, playing Sitar, operating computer & effects, eventually singing or playing percussion.
The Electronica is mainly Chill out, Dub & Lounge but few Ambient tracks appear now and again.
The show include some video art from D-light (Goa).
Since 2010 SITARSONIC is based in Greece (Crete) during the summer and go back to Goa (India) as usual for the season there ...

BIOGRAPHY:
SITARSONIC have a famous “Godfather” the music producer & film maker Duncan Bridgeman (One Giant Leap, What about me…).He recorded, in 1999, the first four tracks of SITARSONIC, on his Mac, during a week-end in the Pyrennees where Paco was living in a Buddhist community.
In 2000, leaving aside streets performances, Paco started working with Thierry Sabir recently met in his hometown, Bordeaux. This duo became SITARSONIC and a very creative period started in wich 3 CDs were produced. In 2000, SITARSONIC (includes Duncan,s four tracks), in 2003, PHARMAKON, and in 2004, ETHNOTICUS.
In 2005 ART POP, an underground label from Bordeaux, released a compilation of these 3 CDs(+1 new track): ADITRONIX, a serie of concerts in France followed. The same year Paco move to Goa (India) and found the Asian Fusion band KUNDALINI AIRPORT, wich has since been very active, performing 80 concerts per season (November to April) and producing a CD every year. (2 DVDs are also available).
For some time SITARSONIC did slowed down and only two “Best of” where realised. SITARDUST in 2006, and MUSELAND, in 2008, each of them with a new track as bonus...
In 2010, new collaborations with Ethnical vibes & Newom started, both prolific and very creative allowing the release of “Indus Reverb” the new cd .
Some concerts followed in the summer around the Cyclades islands in Greece, and SITARSONIC became a "One man show". The following season in Goa and the warm response received, confirmed the project as "solo".
