Paul Tiernan: the man who recently had a song (how to say goodbye) in Hollywood teen cult movie 'Nick and Norah's Infinite playlist', who once played with the legendary Donovan, who has 6 solo albums released, who has played his trusty mandola with Nick Harper, Boo Hewerdine, Robyn Hitchcock and Glen Hansard to name but a few. ..Before we forget, also a member of cult Irish band 'Interference' who's song of beauty and wonder 'gold' featured in Oscar winning Irish film 'Once'. .. Discovered sometime back in the last century by Paul McGuiness, U2s manager and now living in southwest France. Writes bittersweet love songs and leads the 'sad folk' movement. Has produced/engineered and designed the artwork for all 6 solo cds. .. Rock 'N Folk (one of France's major music papers) recently said "he is without doubt one of the best European singer/songwriters, a great guitarist as well, equipped with a magic voice, a perfect mixture of silk and grit. Not sure if anyone reads this anymore.....having said that myspace is beginning to recover from the murdoch era (that's the everything he touchs turns to mould era) ....but if you are i'm over to ireland next week for two very special gigs, two of my favourite venues...both in west cork...details are in the concerts section...playing with my favourite people....i'm a lucky boy!

Have returned to update my myspace now that the 'evil empire' has sold it to Justin Timberlake.....hopefully the same man will bring it back to it's former glory.... a place for musicians and fans to interact and share information....not a sleazy marketplace for cosmetic surgery and cynical hype! So, have uploaded a new song from the new cd, hope you all like it....i do...it was a pleasure recording 'painkillers' and i will this year be touring and singing the songs....played some lovely gigs last year in germany, switzerland and ireland which brought the new songs to life.....like little sparkly children really. pt
