french, born from a french mother and an irish dad, got an interest into irish music at an early age but only started on the whistle around the age of twelve and started the pipes at fourteen. my father started me on both instuments as well as learning the pipes for himself at the same time!! (his instruments are mainly fiddle, banjo, guitar and singing) then i went to a few music week ends where i was thaught by Eoin O'Rabbaigh, Claire Byrne, Mick Coyne... also got a great hand from Ruairi Somers in Navan, Marc Guilloux and Didier Heuline who made my chanter. ( thank you so much Didier!!) I'm now playing with the band Legacy with my father on fiddle, guitar, banjo, and singing, David Goffard on flute and whistle and Jean marie Troupeau on guitar. I'm also part of another band in lyon with whom I have a few sessions gigs Sylvain Quéré (guitare, bouzouki) Julien Cartonnet (uilleann pipes whistles) John delorme (guitare, violon) Graham fitzpatrick ( flute, tin whistle) I've lived in Dublin since 2008 were I can be heard regularly. I've recorded for radio programs around the world and toured around Europe and the States lately thanks to my pipes... -

Long time indeed, how are you? Living it up in sunny NZ at d mo? How's Stacey? (Hi stacey!)
Took it easy over the summer...i.e. didn't get a job! Just did the few gigs, went to Miltown and made sure to practice every day and all that. I did a recital in D.I.T. a few weeks ago, me and Andy did a musette waltz as part of it. I have it up on my profile, it turned out well, check it out! Nothing much else on at the moment, just doing final year stuff, applying for the pgdip to do secondary school teaching (eek!)...starting to feel old...Do you've the pipes in NZ?
