“Love by AIR,” the iPhone application by RJDJ, now available on the App Store
.... 
You can choose from five different “soundscapes,” and use the App’s features to transform the musical experience in real-time by sampling and processing ambient sounds, your own voice and more into Air’s own music. You can also record your own messages or performances with the application, and share your own unique productions of Air’s music with friends and more.
As a way to introduce the app to the world, RjDj and Air are launching a contest to see invite fans to create and submit their own Love recording. The grand prize winner will receive an iPod Touch!
The contest introduces a new take on the proverbial mix-tape for your loved one - a way to create truly personal music. More details here.
The RjDj player technology lets the iPhone operate as a real-time sound studio. The music of “Love by AIR” is presented as five different pages, or “soundscapes,” that the listener can swipe between to shape their experience: Chanter, Harmonie, Papillon, Voler & Voyage.

Air contributes to Haiti relief benefit CD

hopefulAmerican Eagle Outfitters, in partnership with FILTER, have announced today that they will offer customers an exclusive compilation CD to benefit relief and recovery efforts in Haiti. The CD, entitled Hear to Help, is available beginning today through March 19 in all 938 stores across the U.S. and Canada, while supplies last. The CD will be available online at www.ae.com beginning February 24.One hundred percent of the $10 retail price will go directly to Oxfam America, an international relief and development organization that creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and injustice. In Haiti, Oxfam’s efforts include providing water, latrines, plastic sheeting, cash, and relief materials to those who have gathered in temporary camps both within the city and in hard-hit outlying areas.
