Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a popular show running from 1997-2003. The show starred Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy Summers: Chosen One sent to fight the forces of darkness. Along side Buffy, five other cast members faught. Alyson Hannigan as Willow Rosenberg, Nicholas Brendon as Xander Harris, Charisma Carpenter as Cordelia Chase, and Anthony Head as Buffy's Watcher, Giles. The last cast member was the vampire with a soul Angel. He is portrayed by David Boreanaz. As the show went on, five new cast members menuvered their way on to Buffy. Seth green as Oz (1998-1999), Emma Caulfield as Anya Jenkins (1998-2003), Marc Blucas as Riley Finn (1999-2000), Michelle Trachtenburg as Dawn Summers (2001-2003), and James Marsters as Spike (1999-2003). Buffy Summers had her share of vampire dusting and demon slaying. Along the way she faced the same troubles as we do. Like high school, boys, college, and even death. She died, her boyfriend died, and her mom died. She was faced to grow up all to fast. As quickly as the Buffyverse started it ended. The show's premier ended in 2003. Buffy, the Scoobies, and the newly caled Slayers fought the First Evil in the hellmouth. It's army of Turok-han vampires were visous, but Buffy prevailed. Spike and Anya died. The Sunnydale Hellmouth was closed for bussiness. And we just assumed that everything was fine and dandy. Joss Whedon created Season Eight of Buffy. It is a comic book series that shows the wearabouts of the Scooby Gang after Chosen. Buffy is stationed in Scotland with Xander, Faith is stationed in Cleveland, and Willow and Kennedy are having a romantic getaway somewhere in Europe. ..Buffy MySpace Layouts

Hellmouths are places of increased supernatural energy. According to the mythology of the "Buffyverse", this is the area in which the barriers between dimensions are weak. The Hellmouth has a focal point, which serves as a portal between earth and at least one hell dimension. For these reasons, the Hellmouth attracts demons and other supernatural creatures, becoming a "hot spot" for supernatural activity. The Hellmouth is first mentioned in "Welcome to the Hellmouth", the first episode of Buffy, when Rupert Giles claims that the original Spanish settlers of Sunnydale called the area "Boca del Infierno," which Giles then translates to "Hellmouth" in English. The energies emitted by the Hellmouth can have strange effects. Sunnydale High positioned over the focal point, bore most of this supernatural phenomena. Buffy described the effects as, "in this school, over the Hellmouth... Where the way a thing feels — it kind of starts being that way... for real". For example, a shy girl who feels invisible, becomes invisible and is taken away to a school for other invisible children. A boy suffering from stress literally explodes. The ghosts of dead high-school lovers haunt the school. In season 7, when the Hellmouth becomes more active than at any other time in the series, competitiveness between social cliques escalates into full-blown war. Inexplicable feats of science become possible. People (mostly teachers and students) become drawn to do evil things. In both "Prophecy Girl" and "The Zeppo" a large, multi-tentacled demon seems to be immediately inside the Hellmouth, though in "Chosen" it leads to a cavern filled with Turok-Han.
