    The Blue Velvet was born in 1999 from the meeting Dohg (vocals, programming, synt and guitar) and Andy Head (guitar and synthesizer) with the intention of creating a musical genre that was a hybrid of industrial metal and electronics. Like its inspiration, you can make the names of Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Einsturzende Neubauten, etc.. The band's name was taken from a famous film by David Lynch's "Blue Velvet" where the band was inspired by the scenery and the atmosphere of evil that the director has created in the film.The first two members of the band immediately began to create new pieces with various sound experiments. After a short time Malcom11 joined the band (bass and programming) that gave inspiration for the creation of the first two concept EP of the band called "43/XXX" (2003) and "XXXXXX/0003" (2004). In these "EP" were two songs (revisited in the debut album) and various sound experiments. After some live, the band decided to close the studio to record the full length "The Third" which came out in 2006. In this same year he joined the band DarkendDawn (drums / electronic drums). With this new line-up with the album "The Third" critics acclaimed Blue Velvet through music magazines such as Grind Zone, Ascension Magazine, Chain DLK, and various webzines. At the same time the label "Koldfinger" (by Stefano Rossello) decided to support the band and distribute them worldwide. In the meantime,Blue Velvet were called to be part of two compilations, the "Decadence" (released in 2008 still published by Koldfinger) together with bands like Spiritual Front, Bahntier, Alien Vampires, The Frozen Autumn, Macelleria Mobile di Mezzanotte, XP8 and another called "Industrial Underground V.3" published in 2009 by the American Quickstar Productions. After a long series of concerts and collaborations (Murderdolls, XP8, Voice of Masada, Higthlord, Sky Lark) acts to create a large number of supporters.The band decided to evolve even starting to work on a new fully electronic album called "Rotation "(2009). In this album the band has been able to express their musical experience and sound creating songs that range from drum and bass to industrial and ebm (new-school) to techno. The album breaks the mold of previous production while maintaining the sound tends to obscure that act as a filter between the chaotic moments of particular passages and quieter. The process of composing the nine tracks began with a remix included in the previous album, but the desire was to complete it with new instruments. The desire to expand our compositions in unusual musical territory has been reflected in this production. The push was driven by experimentation in electronic areas more than in the past without losing sight of their industrial influences. Rotation is full of rhythmic melodies and synths researched details. The creation was completely entrusted to the audio software to ricreate a virtual mood in a complete synthetic imagination. In live shows the band mix up with success sounds from software synthesizers, virtual sequencers and electronic drum pads. With semi-movable metal structures used to hold the keyboards, laptops, and strofe-lights. Even the look has changed everyone's wearing cyberg uniforms created by the "designer" Sonia Jurlina (Revolver Tyre) . The purpose of all live shows is to give emphasis and bring out dazzling moves by shocking the viewer, making the live shows, unique and innovative. Thanks to 'Rotation'The Blue Velvet had a very positive feedback from music critics had several interviews and reviews (Chain DLK, Rockerilla, Climbing Magazine, Ritual, Zillo magazine Side-Line, Italy Dark, Cyber Angel, Synthetic Sensation etc. ...). In 2010 they took part in the compilation "Different Part 8" (2010 Austria) promoted in various Austrian and German radio. In France, the single from Rotation "Gods Are Created With a Meter" on the radio Electraumatisme was considered the best single of 2009. This has meant that last year they have landed in France playing for "Convulsione Sonores" sharing the stage with Chrysalide and "Operation of the Sun", while in Italy they were on the stage with Xotox ,Tying Tiffany and collaborating on various remixes from international artists. The band after being brought to our attention at the international level, are called on to produce songs for the soundtrack of the documentary film "Il futuro del mondo passa da qui - City Veins," which won the Joris Ivens Award in the "International Competition Premiers Films "in Cinéma du Réel (International Documentary Festival, Paris, 2011). ------------------------------------------------------------------ Italian I Blue Velvet nascono nel 1999 dall'incontro tra Dohg (voce, programmazioni) e Andy Head (chitarra e sintetizzatori) con l'intento di creare un genere musicale che fosse un ibrido fra industrial metal ed elettronica. Come propri ispiratori si possono fare i nomi di Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Einsturzende Neubauten, ecc . Il nome della band fu preso da un famoso film di David Lynch "Blue Velvet" dove la band fu ispirata dalle ambientazioni e le atmosfere perverse che il regista ha saputo creare nel film. All'inizio i primi due membri della band incominciarono da subito a creare nuovi pezzi con varie sperimentazioni sonore. Dopo poco tempo entrò nella band Malcom11 (basso e programmazioni) che diede spunto alla prima creazione di due concept EP della band chiamati "43/XXX" (2003) e "XXXXXX/0003" (2004). In questi "EP" erano presenti due brani (rivisitati nell'album di debutto) e varie sperimentazioni sonore. Dopo alcuni live la band decise di chiudersi in studio per registrare il full lenght "The Third" che uscì nel 2006. In questo stesso anno entrò a far parte della band DarkendDawn (batteria / electronic drum). Con questa nuova line up e con l'album "The Third" i Blue Velvet vengono apprezzati dalla critica di molte riviste musicali come Grind Zone, Ascensione Magazine , Chain DLK e varie webzine. Nello stesso tempo l'etichetta "Koldfinger" (di Stefano Rossello) decise di supportare la band e distribuirli in tutto il mondo. Dopo una lunga serie di concerti e collaborazioni (Murderdolls, XP8, Voice of Masada, Higthlord, Sky Lark) atti a crearsi un largo numero di sostenitori, la band decise di evolversi ancora iniziando a lavorare ad un nuovo album totalmente elettronico dal nome "Rotation" (2009). In questo album la band ha potuto esprimere tutta la propria esperienza musicale e sonora creando brani che variano dalla drum and bass all'industrial e dalla ebm (new-school) alla techno. Il disco rompe gli schemi della precedente produzione mantenendo però quelle sonorità tendenzialmente oscure che fanno da filtro tra i momenti particolarmente caotici ed i passaggi più tranquilli. Il processo di composizione delle nove tracce presenti nel disco, ebbe inizio con un remix incluso nell'album precedente, ma la voglia di misurarsi con nuovi strumenti e spaziare in territori musicali inusuali si è concretizzato in questa produzione. La spinta è stata determinata dalla voglia di sperimentazioni in ambiti più elettronici rispetto al passato senza perdere di vista le loro influenze industrial. Rotation è pieno di ritmiche ricercate e sintetizzatori dalle melodie particolari è trascinanti. La creazione è stata completamente affidata a dei software per ricreare una virtualità totale in una completa immaginazione sintetica. L'evoluzione è presente anche nei live dove la band ottiene uno show completamente suonato da sintetizzatori software, sequencer e electronic drum pads. I B.V. suonano su strutture metalliche semi-movibili utilizzate per sorreggere le tastiere, i laptops e le luci stroboscopiche. Anche il look di ognuno è cambiato indossando divise bianche e nere in tessuto sintetico in puro stile cyberg, creati dalla "stilista" Sonia Jurlina (Revolver Tyre) in grado di creare oggetti e materiali da scarti industriali in vestiti e accessori. Il fine di tutto ciò è conferire maggior enfasi ai pezzi e far risaltare i movimenti abbagliando e scioccando lo spettatore rendendo i live unici e innovativi. Con l'uscita di "Rotation" la band ha avuto dei riscontri molto positivi dalla critica musicale avendo varie interviste e recensioni (Chain DLK, Rockerilla, Ascensione magazine, Ritual, Zillo magazine, Side-Line, Dark italia, Cyber Angel, Synthetic Sensation ecc...). Nel 2010 la band prende parte alla compilation "Different Part 8" (2010 Austria) promossa in varie radio tedesche e austriache. In Francia il singolo estratto da Rotation "Gods Are Created With a Meter" attraverso la radio Electraumatisme è stato considerato il miglior singolo della fine del 2009. Questo ha fatto si che nell'ultimo anno la band è sbarcata in Francia suonando per "Convulsione Sonores" condividendo il palco con Chrysalide e "Operation of the Sun", mentre in Italia la band calca i palchi con Xotox e Tying Tiffany e collaborando a vari remix di artisti internazionali.I Blue Velvet dopo essersi fatti notare a livello internazionale, vengono chiamati a produrre dei brani per la colonna sonora del film documentario "Il futuro del mondo passa da qui - City veins", il quale vince il Premio Joris Ivens nella "Competitione Internationale Premiers Films" a Cinéma du Réel (Festival Internazionale del Documentario, Parigi, 2011).
