    Born in Kinshasa in 1982, Akanyi Carine is a singer from the region of Kasai Oriental. Akanyi meaning language Tetela "the thought" spent part of his childhood in Kelemanda "Lojah" a village in the Kasai and the traditional rhythms and songs are ubiquitous in a natural paradise and captivating. In 1991, after a furtive passage in the city of Kinshasa, her mother decides to leave the "Democratic Republic of Congo" for Belgium. In 1992 she left Belgium for Germany where she began to explore other musical genres such as reggae, ragga, dance hall, soul, new soul, rnb or house ... The history of her ancestors and the songs that cradled her childhood will help her to acquire an authentic style and inimitable stamp. Always in search of inspiration and new sounds, she will participate in 2000 in Jam Sessions at Stadt garten and Conway's Club in Cologne as well at the "Paladium (Cologne), the Alte - Warte - zaal (Cologne) and finally she decide to live in belgium . Her return to Brussels in 2006 will allow her to participate and finish finalist "Trunk and Co". She recorded her first song "When I was" feat Dynamic in the studio "Factory" contest in partnership with the Trunk and Co and Dexia. She continues to occur in box shows in venues such as The Botany, MCM caffee (Paris), Ice Club, the Black and White (Kinshasa), the Athina Club House (Kampala, Unganda) at the Music Store, the Unity festival and the Mondial (Holland). After that, she will have the opportunity to work with different producers renoms.now she prepares her first album sounding "African soul, reggae, house, rnb and world music.
