Adams International House of Fashions, located at 136 SouthBroad St. in New Orleans, Louisiana After many months of preparation and planning, I am pleased to announce the grand opening of the Adams International House of Fashion Exclusive Men’s Clothing and Formal Wear. Our mid city haberdashery is prepared to meet the needs of the total man, regardless of height or size, and to provide a comfortable environment conducive for selecting fabric, taking measurements, and making selections of our finest quality men’s fine furnishings. As a man of size, I had to experience first hand the inconvenience of walking into some of the finest stores trying to purchase the latest fashions, only to find out that the store didn’t carry my size. I was not only flustered, but I felt the need to do something. I also believe that God has created all of us in his image and in his likeness, and men regardless of race, height or weight should take time to be and look their best. I was easily influenced as a young church organist playing for a very well dressed pastor. One Sunday he walked into church with a beautiful suit and tie. After service I jokingly asked him for the tie since I knew I couldn’t fit the suit, and he gave it to me. He might have thought he was just giving away an expensive tie, but he influenced me to care about my appearance, which boosted my self- esteem and gave me a sincere passion for men’s fashion. Like many of us who experienced the devastation of hurricane Katrina, where many of our lives were turned up side down, my plans of starting this business were placed on hold. After evacuating to Houston, God began to bless other areas of my life and placed me on assignment to reach the masses all over the world through gospel music, but I didn’t let go of my dream. I was determined to rebuild my home and help rebuild this city by starting this business and pumping tax dollars back into the city’s economy.
